Date: Consecrated in May 2000
The original church which was built in 1848 then restored in 1896 was demolished in 1996 and the new church (above) built in 2000. Part of the original gateway (see left in photo) remains along with the graveyard which acted as the town cemetery until the 1890s. There are some 1200 gravestones.
