Ruins of St Botolph's Priory |
The priory was almost destroyed in 1536 during the time of the dissolution of the monasteries. |

Location: Trinity Street in the centre of Colchester

Denomination: Church of England
Date: The tower is the oldest part of the church and dates from about 1000AD
Parts were rebuilt in the 14th and 15th century and further restored in 1886.
No longer in use as a church but used as a Young Peoples Centre

Location: At the junction of New Rd (B1035) and The Walls (B1352) Mistley OS ref: 168 TM116320
These two towers are all that remain of a church built in 1735 and remodelled by Richard Adam in1776. The central section between the towers was demolished in 1870 when a new church was built for Mistley
